Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.55 miles Path Width /maximum/: 50 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 06/26/2024 Start Time: 11:29 PM EDT Start Location: Rehoboth / Bristol County / MA Start Lat/Lon: 41.8018 / -71.2939 End Date: 06/26/2024 End Time: 11:30 PM EDT End Location: Rehoboth / Bristol County / MA End Lat/Lon: 41.8037 / -71.2836 Survey Summary: A tornado touched down in a wooded area west of Steber Way in Rehoboth, MA. A number of large hardwood and softwood trees were snapped and uprooted in the woods and in several yards along the path. Otherwise, there was no significant damage to homes. The tornado reached a maximum intensity of 90 mph. The maximum width of the tornado was 50 yards. This was a very short lived tornado which was only on the ground for one minute. The National WeatherService would like to thank the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency and Emergency Management in Rehoboth for their assistance. ...Microburst occured in Seekonk, MA... Damage was surveyed in Seekonk, MA and determined to be the result of a microburst. Straight line winds were estimated to be 100 mph. This uprooted and snapped many trees in a wooded area between James V Turner Reservoir and Seekonk High School. At the high school the winds downed trees in a courtyard which caused damage to the roof.
