The National Weather Service office in Binghamton NY is conducting a storm survey for the areas near Cooks Falls in Delaware County and Roscoe in Sullivan County, New York. The survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area late this morning, June 30th, 2024. A preliminary assessment indicates the damage was caused from a microburst with maximum winds of 90 mph. More details will be provided upon completion of the survey later this evening. Final results of the survey are expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement by by late this evening.
