...River Statement For The Big Nance Creek at Courtland...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Big Nance Creek. Although it is not expected to reach
flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands may still occur. If
additional rainfall occurs, the river could still reach Flood Stage.

The Big Nance Creek at Courtland.
* At 6:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Action stage is 12.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to continue to rise and crest at a
  stage of 13.5 feet this afternoon. It will then begin falling,
  falling to a stage of 11.7 feet Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Lowland flooding begins on the left bank of
  the river.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
