* WHAT...Major risk of heat effects expected. Temperatures in the
upper 90s and up to 105F are expected in the afternoons with
overnight temperatures only dropping down to the upper 50s to
upper 60s in the early morning hours.
* WHERE...Lower Hells Canyon/Salmon River Region and
Orofino/Grangeville Region.
* WHEN...From noon Monday to 9 PM PDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...This level of heat affects anyone without effective
cooling and/or adequate hydration. Impacts likely in some health
systems, heat-sensitive industries and infrastructure.
